Industry-leading equipment for reliable healthcare connectivity

TREND Networks has a comprehensive range of testing and certifying equipment for technicians, network engineers, and project managers to help optimise copper, fibre, and active cable networks. Our industry-leading equipment focuses on real-world applications to offer unparalleled support and ensure seamless connectivity in the healthcare industry.

Problems in network connectivity are inevitable at some point, but efficient maintenance protocols can help reduce the impact of unforeseen infrastructure issues. However, to ensure service reliability and consistency, you need the best tools for the job.

Fibre Optic Fault Finder

At TREND Networks, we develop equipment to give users instant access to essential information for effective troubleshooting. Our Fibre Optic Cable Fault Finder (VFF5) tests and locates breaks or pinches in fibre links and cable strands susceptible to damage.

When connected to the network, the VFF5 projects a visible laser into fibre optic cabling to pinpoint continuity and polarity issues over a distance of 5km (3 miles). Technicians will find it useful as a reliable indicator of poor fibre misalignment when terminating mechanical splices or pre-polished connectors.

Power Over Ethernet (PoE)

PoE Pro swiftly identifies PoE source Class and analyses available power to ensure network integrity at the required PoE levels – up to 90 watts. Able to assess any length or quality of cable to identify damage that could compromise critical data transmission, PoE Pro submits definitive pass/fail results, which can be uploaded to the TREND AnyWARE Cloud to generate a comprehensive report, with installation visuals.

Used alongside our analogue/digital tone generator with signal indicator, powerful speaker, and multiple tones, PoE access technology will help to minimise the risk of data loss and improve overall network reliability. Tone and Probe tracing technology is vital to find faulty or mis-labelled cabling and can be used with most corresponding cable tracing probes.

FiberMASTER Mini OTDR and Power Meter

Available in four options – Quad, multimode, single-mode, and PON – our compact, cutting-edge FiberMASTER Mini Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) is designed to ensure precision installation. With high dynamic range, and minimal dead zones, it can help optimise troubleshooting between buildings and backbone links. Events and event types are clearly displayed and pass/fail results are provided for each one.

Meanwhile, the FiberMASTER Power Meter and Light Source supports video inspection microscope troubleshooting. The meter takes accurate absolute power measurements to calculate loss of fibre optic links at different wavelengths, resulting from dirty or damaged fibres, and calibrates the reference level to the light source.

NaviTEK NT Network Cable Tester

The NaviTEK NT user-friendly cable tester can be used to check network status, switch port number, and available VLANs. Improvements to the graphical interface, including visual cues, enable technicians to quickly identify and resolve connectivity issues along active and passive copper or fibre cable networks.

The equipment offers accurate test and cable validation. With remote access to reduce the troubleshooting timeframe, it helps prevent major issues in network infrastructure to safeguard secure data. Test results are transmitted via the TREND AnyWARE App in PDF format, keeping the channel of communication open for enhanced customer satisfaction.

SignalTEK Ethernet Tester

SignalTEK 10G verifies copper and fibre cables by simulating actual network traffic to test and troubleshoot. Our latest version measures the maximum bandwidth on existing cables, and documents network and data performance up 10 Gigabits per second.

This convenient mobile device simplifies network analysis by initiating a suite of tests to find common faults quickly at the push of a button, for effortless network maintenance. The unit can detect active VLANs and track data throughput and, if transmission frames drop, it dynamically adjusts the speed to maximise performance throughput.
