TREND Networks honoured by 2020 Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards
TREND Networks’ LanTEK IV cable certifier has been recognised among the best in the industry by the 2020 Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovators Awards. IDEAL Networks was confirmed as a Gold honouree in the Test Equipment category.
A stellar line up of third-party judges, which included cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience, selected the honourees. Entries were judged against criteria such as innovation, value to the user, sustainability, meeting a defined need, collaboration and impact.

With LanTEK IV, users can now conduct and save a Cat6A test within 7 seconds. The tester’s enhanced functionality certifies links up to Cat8, including TCL and Resistance Unbalance and will sweep to 3000MHz providing room for future ratified ISO and TIA test standards.
LanTEK IV also includes the patented VisiLINQ™ permanent link adapter, a unique way to test that gives users everything needed to initiate testing and view the results in the palm of their hand. Users simply connect the adapter to the port, activate it, and see an instant result as the adapter lights up – green for a pass, red for a fail. The highly versatile VisiLINQ adapters are suitable for testing and certifying UTP, STP, Cat5e/6/6a/8.1 cabling from the patch panel to the work area outlet. As technicians can do this without even needing to touch the certifier, this innovation helps them to work smarter, saving time and increasing productivity.
With a new approach to certification, LanTEK IV increases connectivity and collaboration in conjunction with the new TREND AnyWARE Cloud. The cloud-based test management system allows real time collaboration between Project Managers and Technicians, as well as advanced pre-configuration options, extensive data management capability and professional reporting. Engineers, technicians and installers can simply hit the sync button to transfer results straight from the LanTEK IV to the TREND AnyWARE Cloud.
Meanwhile, LanTEK IV’s Team Viewer Live Support function makes it possible for colleagues to connect to the certifier remotely, helping to increase collaboration, minimise troubleshooting time and reduce call-backs.
