SignalTEK QT Cable Qualification Series

Copper Qualification:

Ensure the desired network speed is supported by performing an RF test of the cable to test NEXT, Return Loss and Insertion Loss. SignalTEK QT will display the available performance versus the desired speed with an easy-to-read display. Up to 12 remotes are available for rapid testing. SignalTEK QT allows selection of speeds from 10Mb/s to 10Gb/s including the new 2.5 & 5Gb/s multigig speeds.

Fibre Qualification:

SignalTEK QT Pro qualifies fibre links in accordance with the IEEE 802.3 standard up to 100Gb/s by measuring insertion loss and length of fibre cabling using a convenient loopback test. TREND’s high performance SFP modules offer high accuracy insertion loss measurements and the SignalTEK QT Pro detects the installed SFP module to automatically set Pass/Fail limits.

Wi-Fi Testing:

Analyse Wi-Fi channel strength and identify access points that are on overlapping channels to maximise network performance. Channel utilisation graphs help determine which access points (APs) are overloaded with users. Connect to a network and perform diagnostics with ping, traceroute and device scan tests.

Copper Cable Qualification
Qualify performance from 10Mb/s to 10Gb/s including Multi-Gig speeds with Live wiremap and TDR fault location.

Fibre Cable Qualification
Qualify performance from 10Mb/s to 100Gb/s by measuring dB loss and length to IEEE standards.

Wi-Fi Channel Scan and Utilisation
Select a channel to view the name, IP address, MAC address and signal strength of APs on each channel to help balance utilisation.

PoE Load Test
Ensure installed cables provide enough power for PoE devices by performing a load test with up to 90 watts including Pass/Fail results.

Device Scan
Connect to active copper/fibre/Wi-Fi networks and collect a list of connected devices including the vendor ID, IP address and MAC address with automatic checking for IP address conflicts.

Access Point Location
Use the internal or external antennas to locate hidden access points with the responsive signal strength indicator.
