Happy Holidays from IDEAL Networks: A Round Up of 2015!
It’s been a productive and inventive 2015 for IDEAL Networks. From launching innovative new data cable and network testers to attending influential events and giving our website a fresh face-lift, it’s been all hands on deck for the IDEAL Networks team. We’re thrilled to report that we are now providing cable and network testers to more countries and customers than ever before…
One of the most exciting points of 2015 has been the release of our brand new internationally-minded and mobile-friendly website.
The sleek, intuitive user interface now includes an interactive new addition: the online ‘Quote Builder’ for the LanTEK® III cable certifier. The ‘Quote Builder’ allows users to choose their unique specifications; such as adaptors and fibre modules – amongst various other features and accessories. This ensures that every LanTEK III certifier purchased meets the individual specifications of its user exactly.
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCHES FROM IDEAL NETWORKS IN 2015
LANTEK III & FIBERTEK III
The LanTEK III was not the only new innovative product launch of 2015 for IDEAL Networks though. There was the introduction of the fibre cable certifier, ‘FiberTEK® III,’ which works alongside the aforementioned LanTEK III for tier 1 certification of fibre optic cabling.
SIGNALTEK NT & SIGNALTEK CT
Other noteworthy products launched this year include the all new SignalTEK® NT and the SignalTEK® CT, which allow for Gigabit performance testing on passive cabling and active networks by stimulating actual network traffic.
In 2015 we created our first mobile app, IDEAL AnyWARE™ for Android and Apple mobile devices. The app connects to your IDEAL cable or network tester using Wi-Fi and transfers test reports to your mobile device. Once data is transferred, users can view the PDF reports and send them using their preferred file sharing method including email or file sharing app. Cable installers and IT technicians can share test reports with project managers, resulting in greater collaboration, more on-time job completions and reduced costs.
NAVITEK NT
The ideal tester for troubleshooting and maintaining active and passive copper and fibre networks, the NaviTEK® NT is an exciting addition to the IDEAL Networks product range. Incorporating an improved graphical interface, NaviTEK NT allows network technicians to pinpoint and solve network connectivity issues faster than ever before. Subsequently, tests can be saved as PDF reports and shared with colleagues and clients (as in the case of the SignalTEK range) using the free IDEAL AnyWare™ app.
EVENTS OF 2015
IDEAL Networks range of both new and existing testers was the talk of a few prestigious industry events this year including the BICSI conferences in the USA, UK and India, the Data Centre World Expo in London and the Connected Home Roadshow across Germany.
PARTNERSHIPS
In November, IDEAL Networks, joined the NBASE-T Alliance, an industry-wide consortium that works to promote the development of 2.5 and 5 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) over twisted pair copper cabling (2.5GBASE-T and 5GBASE-T), through promotion of the IEEE 802.3bz standard, amongst other activities.
IDEAL Networks is now one of 14 new proud Alliance members, bringing the current total membership to more than 45 companies.
